The Local Party Executive of Chesterfield Constituency Liberal Democrats invites applications for selection as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of CHESTERFIELD

Potential applicants should contact the Returning Officer, Bill Smith, 7 Varden Avenue, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 2SJ; phone 0115 925 8816; email for an application pack.

Applications must be received by the Returning Officer by 5.00 p.m. on 19th October 2012.

Applicants not on the Party's list of Approved Candidates at the closing date for applications will not be guaranteed consideration by the Selection Committee. It is the responsibility of applicants to check that their applications have been received by the Returning Officer, by the closing date.

Until 2010 Chesterfield was a Liberal Democrat seat. In the General Election it was lost to Labour by only 549 votes (0.6%). This was largely due to a recovery in the Tory vote at the expense of the Liberal Democrats.
