Heathcock's victory as road repairs are given go-ahead

April 15, 2013 11:49 AM

Retiring Cambridgeshire County Councillor, Geoff Heathcock, who campaigned for major improvements to the road network in his ward, has welcomed the news that they are to be carried out.

Cllr Heathcock, who represents Queen Ediths, fought for repair work on Hills Road and also to Mowbray Road from the Queen Ediths Way junction towards Cherry Hinton Road.

The work has been included on the road network plan for 2013/14 drawn up by the county council.

Cllr Heathcock said: "I have campaigned for this work to be attended to for some while and it's therefore good to be leaving office with two more pieces of success in a ward I've represented for 20 years."
