In March 2014 Cllr. Gale Waller asked Rutland Council to provide information about elected councillors' attendance at the council meetings to which they were appointed. The average attendance of Conservative councillors over the previous year was 72.98% with one cabinet member attending only 65% of cabinet meetings. The average attendance of UKIP members was a much poorer 55.57% with one UKIP councillor attending only 30% of full Council meetings and none of two of the committees to which he had been appointed. Gale Waller, the only Liberal Democrat member of Rutland County Council was in attendance at 90.42% of the meetings she should have attended, and she is on more committees and panels than any other councillor. This only goes to show how hard Liberal Democrats work for their communities.
