MP presents Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club with trophies at their Annual Display

Greg Mulholland MP, Member of Parliament for Leeds North West, was delighted to present Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club with trophies at their Annual Display on Saturday.

Greg attended the Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Annual Display where the club put on two performances during the day both featuring 48 girls of all abilities aged between 4 and 16 years.

The Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club was founded in 1980 and teaches Rhythmic Gymnastics, a combination of gymnastics and dance using rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon, to girls aged 4 years plus. The club also coaches girls for national competitions.

The Annual Display is the clubs biggest fundraiser, with this year's event raising £1,000 which will help buy new gymnast equipment benefiting all the gymnasts at the club.

Commenting, Greg Mulholland MP, said,

"I was delighted to support the Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club's Annual Display and it was a privilege and pleasure to present the special awards and trophies to the talented gymnasts.

"A big well done to all the gymnasts that put on a fantastic annual display, and to all of the coaches who worked hard to deliver a great event. It is great to see the brilliant gymnastic talent we have in the area."

Karen Priestley, Head Coach at the club, said,

"Thank you to everyone who came and supported all the girls in their wonderful performance, and thank you to Greg for coming to support the club and present this year's awards.

"We are all really proud of all the gymnasts - they worked extremely hard this year to put on a great show which everyone thoroughly enjoyed."
