MP hails first Sport Chevin family activity day a big success

Leeds North West MP, Greg Mulholland, has said a big thank you to everyone who made the first Sport Chevin family activity day a big success over the weekend.

The free event held in Wharfemeadows Park, Otley, saw hundreds of people attend to try out a variety of sports including cycling, athletics, hockey and football.

Sport Chevin aim to raise awareness of their campaign to bring sports facilities for all to Otley, including raising funds for community sports that are inclusive and safe for everyone.

Commenting, Greg Mulholland, said,

"Congratulations to Tony and all the volunteers who made the first family activity day a great success.

"It was fantastic to see so many people enjoy the various sports and support this very worthy cause. I am very much looking forward to the next Sports Chevin activity day!"
