NORWICH SOUTH LIBERAL DEMOCRAT PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE PROUD TO CAMPAIGN ON PARTY MANIFESTO

Simon Wright, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Norwich South, has welcomed the Party's 2015 General Election manifesto which places opportunity at its heart.

The Party's manifesto provides a credible plan to finish the job of balancing the books fairly, by protecting our schools, hospitals and public services. The Party's key priorities are to:

  • Balance the budget fairly and invest to build a high-skill, low-carbon economy
  • Guarantee education funding from nursery to 19 and qualified teachers in every class
  • Cut taxes by an additional £400 by raising the Personal Allowance to £12,500
  • Protect nature and fight climate change with five green laws
  • Invest £8 billion to improve our NHS and guarantee equal care for mental health

Commenting on the manifesto Mr Wright said: "I am proud to be able to campaign on our manifesto which provides the blueprint for creating a stronger economy and a fairer society."

"I am particularly pleased that the Liberal Democrats have put children and young people at the heart of the manifesto. If our young people are to be able to get on in life we must ensure they are provided with the skills and opportunities they need to reach their potential"
