Brenda Palmer

Brenda served in the RAF for 22 years retiring with the rank of Wing Commander. As Squadron Leader she had been responsible for air traffic control at RAF Wittering. Since then Brenda has held senior managerial positions in the public and charitable sectors before retiring. She was Chair of Cambridgeshire Probation Board and Vice Chair of her local Parish Council before moving from just outside Rutland to Langham. Already involved in research for the Langham Development Plan she believes the needs and aspirations of Langham's people, of all ages, deserve energetic and constantly active representation on Rutland County Council to ensure the local community's views are heard and actioned.
Brenda says, 'I believe Rutland County Council should be transparent and rigorously challenged to provide efficient, fair, top quality services and to be responsive to our community's unique and historic distinctiveness, our demands and future vision.'
Brenda would welcome the opportunity to serve Langham with a strong voice on the Council.
'My priorities would be to fight against any move to encroach further upon the green space separating Langham from Oakham and to ensure the Development Plan, which our community is currently creating, is approved and actioned.
