Design for Europe

EU / UK flagsThe referendum on Europe will probably be the most important political event of our lives. Our choice will have consequences for decades, or even centuries.

Britain is better off in. Europe is better with Britain. The planet has better prospects with a strong Europe, living up to the best of our history and the brightest visions of our future. The Europe I fight for is one that changes, learns from the mistakes of the past and becomes a better Union tomorrow than it has been.

This campaign is our chance to fightback against the peddlers of spin and division, to tell people who do not know or misunderstand what Liberal Democrats stand for, that Tim Farron's party is on their side. We are fighting for Britain to stay in for our common prosperity, our security and our environment.

I do not believe that a traditional, centralised campaign we win the referendum. But we can win it by harnessing and sharing the energy and creativity of our supporters.

  • If you write a letter to your local newspaper, share it.
  • If you have a good idea for a Focus article, share it.
  • Researched some useful information? Share it.

Send all these things to me and webmaster@eastmidslibdem.og.uk. The South East, South Central and East Midlands Regions are building a website where your content can be shared for everyone to use.

Collaborative campaigning helped carry Barak Obama, who started as the underdog and outsider, to the White House.

Design for Obama was an open invitation to supporters anywhere in the world to design pictures, graphics, logos and posters to express the campaign's vision. Hundreds were submitted and this book collecting the best is beautiful.

I know that there are creative people who support the Liberal Democrats and us staying in Europe. So, it's time for Design for Europe.

Two supporters have already made these designs:

Keep Britain Great

EU Yes

Do you like them? Do you have another idea?

Do any of the Design for Obama entries inspire you? Perhaps you like Hillary Clinton's new logo:

Hilary Clinton

Can you design something for our campaign?

If you have something to share, send it to design @ antonyhook.com and webmaster@eastmidslibdems.org.uk

I/we look forward to your creativity being on our website (no doubt some on Lib Dem Voice too and East Midlands) and the best being used by campaigners across our country.

We are the people who can bend the arc of history once more towards a better, brighter Europe for the sake all the people who live in Britain.
