Having spoken with Kate Godfrey - East Midlands Regional Director of Stronger IN I wanted to share with you the most recent information on the wider Pro EU Referendum Campaign.
As it stands at this moment the date for the Referendum is to be confirmed but anticipation is pointing to an announcement this weekend and the date being June - but as of yet this is speculation.
Whilst we want to encourage every Branch/Constituency/Activist/Council Group to organise Street Stalls and House Gatherings we also want to take every opportunity
to support the Stronger IN events.
I have agreed with Kate that they will provide us with links to add to our Website, links that will enable our members across the East Midlands to be aware of Stronger IN events that are happening in their immediate area. For example, on Friday of this week Stronger IN will be encouraging people to concentrate on leafleting train stations. Saturday the activity will be targeted on town centres. Some of our members have already offered their help on either or both of these days.
With little more than twelve hours notice Stronger IN can offer you leaflets on the general Pro EU topic, posters, pens, t-shirts canvas bags, stickers etc. I know that they are happy that we use them in conjunction with the Stronger IN events or cross-party events that our own members organise. The important thing, if you are attending or organising events please let us know.
The contact details for Kate are listed below, along with those for Kate's colleague Roxanne Ellis. Both Kate and Roxanne will do everything possible to help and support.
I have asked Kate for quantities of the leaflets, pens etc to be sent to me, enough for me to use in and around my part of the East Midlands, to circulate in some way at the Regional
Conference, share with colleagues in the Region and if possible to place in some quantity in the Derby Office.
Kate and I will be keeping in close contact and I will ensure that as more information emerges I pass it on to you.
Kind regards
