Policy Submission Timetable for Autumn Conference

Hello Everyone

The booking form is about to go live with all the details for our Regional Conference in Lincoln on Saturday 15h October. Local parties have been considering the policy motions that they wish to submit for the Autumn Regional Conference in Lincoln on Saturday 15 October. Please find below, the timetable and deadlines for submission:

12noon Friday 30th September:
Deadline for submissions

Friday 7th October:
Notification will be sent to confirm whether or not your submission has been successful.

12noon Tuesday 11th October:
Deadline for any amendments.



Increasing the likelihood that your policy will be accepted

I've included a link to the PowerPoint used at the "Effective Policy Writing" event held last April. Among other slides you will find one on structure and an example of good and bad policy submissions.

The structure slide states that there are three things to be covered in a motion:

Conference believes that:
Conference calls for:

If you are submitting a motion, I would highly recomend that you look at the PowerPoint to help maximize the likelihood that your policy will be selected.
