Liberal Democrat Gain?

April 6, 2018 4:43 PM
By Shaun Roberts Director of Campaigns & Elections

Did you see Vince Cable on BBC and ITV news on Wednesday night launching our 2018 local election campaign? If you didn't, you can read about and watch it here: libdems.org.uk/2018-local-election-launch.

When this campaign is done, I want to see the words 'LIBERAL DEMOCRAT GAIN' flashing up on the TV screen again and again.

You can help make that happen by:

  1. 1. Signing up to volunteer - even if there aren't elections in your area, you can still help. Sign up here and we'll tell you how: libdems.org.uk/volunteer
  2. Tell you're friends you're voting Liberal Democrat on the 3rd May - and invite them to join you, by RSVPing for this event: facebook.com/events/100557870798787/
  3. Add this frame to your Facebook profile picture: facebook.com/libdems/posts/10156336792783270/

Every Liberal Democrat gain (and hold!) means we can deliver more change in our country - more investment in schools, better care services and more action to protect our environment. Every seat we win will send a message to this shambolic Tory government that change is coming.

We're heading into this campaign with real momentum thanks to a spectacular run of local by-election wins in recent months - taking seats from Labour, UKIP and the Tories. We can build on that success in the next four weeks.

We've got some brilliant candidates in this election - many of whom are fighting an election for the first time. I want to make sure that we give them the best support as they carry our flag in this election.

So please do join me, Party HQ, ALDC, our MPs, our Peers and thousands of Liberal Democrat volunteers in helping them win on Thursday 3rd May.

It all starts by getting involved today.

Best wishes and let's go win some elections!

Shaun
