The information he provided on the contribution that small businesses make shows just how vital they are to the community and the country as a whole. Commissioner Paul Uppal outlined the following and I thought I should share the details ....

Small Businesses in the UK - £1.9 trillion estimated turnover in 2017

There are - 5.7m small businesses in the UK
(less than 50 employees)


15% - are single person businesses


19% - are micro-businesses with 1-9 employees


60% - Account for of all business employment
