The annual AGM was held in Oakham on 21st November 2018 preceded by a very well attended and enjoyable supper at the Whipper Inn.

The main speaker was the R&M Lib Dems new chair, Professor Ken Siddle, who gave a fascinating talk on the links between Cambridge University and the EU, demonstrating how important it is to remain if we can.

Later Dr Carol Weaver, chair of the Leicestershire and Rutland European Movement branch, gave an update and analysis of the current situation regarding Brexit, also emphasising how important it is to support a People's Vote and to support those MPs who favour revoking the Article 50 notification. (See separate report).

The main business of the AGM was to elect a new executive for next year. This was duly done with the results below. Also there was a discussion on council elections 2019 and how important it is to make sure we have enough candidates ready. Please contact us if you would like to put your name forward for any part of the constituency - Rutland, Melton or Harborough (or if you might wish to be co-opted onto the executive).
